Over the past few week we have had lots! Lots of good and great things. And somethings we wish that had not come and wish the outcome was different.
We started helping with the youth group and have had a great time with that, and can not wait to see what the summer brings out of it. I have seen growth in our two girls and myself just in the few weeks that we have had already. The past two weeks we have taken off with the Holiday and tons of Open House this weekend.
But this pass week was a long and tring week. We had a some family news that we are all trying to workout and deal with the best we can and pray daily the health, and healing. Taking the time together as much as we can and doing what is best for everyone.
On Thursday the girls and I sat in the ER for 7 hours waiting on news on a family member in the back. Updating our prayer chain when needed and calling family members. And doing something I'm not good at and that's asking for help! I'm not good at it. And have asked to help many times over the last few days. Come Friday night and have to make my mind up on a few things and not be able to think clearly I knew I needed a mind time out.
On Saturday the girls and I got up some what early and went up to the Church to head out to The Springs with Pastor Layton and some of the youth group. I was able to turn of the part of my brain that was dealing with family and all that happened over the week. We were able to walk around the camp, looking at it. It was raining all day, maybe not the few minutes we were in side eating. :) But being outside, talking to the camp workers and the group that we went with, watching them take part in the games. Even the rain and the wet feet! I left my phone in the van when we first left, and felt back, and miss it. But when we went back I was able to leave it again and not feel so lost without it. It was nice and much needed.
What did I take away from Saturday, outside of The Springs being a great place and lots of fun! I learn that leaving my phone in the van and being in the rain most of the day was just what I needed! So thankful for that!
On a more lighter note I ask the girls what they learn from the day, and this is what they said....That when it rains the fishing master eats ice cream. :)
